In India, uniforms are mandatory for students, a policy designed to ensure equality in the classroom. However, many families simply cannot afford this basic requirement.

Compounding this challenge, girls are often discouraged from pursuing education altogether. Seen as financial burdens, they are expected to focus on domestic duties instead of attending school.
